EUNOMIA.AI is a European project funded under the Digital Europe Programme that aims to accelerate the safe, trustworthy and compliant adoption of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in European public administrations. The project brings together public authorities, universities, research and technology organisations from across Europe to develop and pilot European GenAI solutions in real public-service environments. The solutions will be designed with particular attention to data protection, cybersecurity, human oversight and compliance with the AI Act and GDPR. EUNOMIA.AI targets implementation in at least 25 public administrations and integration into no fewer than 15 public services, supported by a central high-performance GenAI infrastructure hosted at the University of Granada and, where appropriate, federated local nodes. Implementation is organised through seven Work Packages covering project coordination, development and integration, AI safety and compliance, infrastructure and procurement, use-case piloting, impact and scalability, and communication and dissemination.

DIADYMA participates in EUNOMIA.AI as a public-sector and operational partner from the waste-management and environmental-services domain. Its contribution focuses on providing domain knowledge and real operational requirements to the technical partners, defining and refining relevant use cases, describing operational processes and workflows, and participating in functional and end-user-oriented validation of the solutions. DIADYMA also contributes to project activities related to infrastructure and procurement requirements, piloting, evaluation and the potential replication of results by other public authorities. DIADYMA does not undertake AI model development, model training or fine-tuning, software development, or the technical implementation of data pipelines.
