Description:

The MEDITERRITAGE program referred to the economic utilization of the cultural heritage and the natural environment of the mountainous areas as the main axes for their development. The sectors of the projects, that were implemented, were related to culture, tourism, environmental protection and the agricultural sector.
MT Waste's goal was to explore innovative solutions that link waste management to land use in mountainous areas. The creation of inter-municipal cooperation was the main subject of the promotion of sustainable solutions. The dissemination of the results took place at all levels, from local to interregional, to ensure further activities by raising public awareness on waste management issues.

DIADYMA’s role:

The actions concerned the renovation study of the restored dumpsite Tsotyliou (EcoPark), the construction of a Recycling Park (Green Point), the construction of Infrastructure of Intra-Municipal Cleaning Bodies (hackstand) temporary inactive storage and development of a local Recycling program, as well as the renovation of Neapoli's dumpsite and an Ecopoint in Neapoli.
