The project's main objective was to implement the environmetal park and education centre (Ecopark & Ecopolis) developed in the first phase of SMART and to create a multi-functional, attractive and viable place that combines modern waste management facilities of recovery and recycling along agrotourism, environmental education and leisure activities, making the site a point of attraction for the public and promoting new land uses.

DIADYMA was responsible for the recovery and the rehabilitation of the former uncontrolled dumpsite in the former mining site that was located in the axis of Kozani-Ptolemaida. Also, completed the study of the Ecopark, in order to develop alternative forms of energy such as wind, solar and biomass.
